Preserving Your Pieces

Ann Chiara's Boutique garments are crafted from high-quality natural fibres. With the proper care, they will soften, drape beautifully, and last for years. Below are general care guidelines for each material in our collection.

Organic Cotton & Linen

Our linen and organic cotton items are pre-washed for extra softness. They are highly breathable and grow softer with every wash.

• Wash: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild, eco-friendly detergent. Wash with similar colours.
• Dry: Line dry in the shade to preserve colour vibrancy. Tumble drying on low is possible but may cause slight shrinkage.
• Iron: Iron while slightly damp on high heat, or steam for a relaxed, natural texture.

Merino Wool & Cashmere

Fine knits require gentle care to avoid felting or shrinking.

• Wash: Hand wash cold with dedicated wool detergent. Do not wring or twist.
• Dry: Gently press out excess water in a towel and dry flat on a horizontal rack in the shade. Never tumble dry.
• Store: Fold and store flat in a cedar drawer. Hanging knits can stretch them out of shape.

Silk & Rayon

Delicate fibres require cautious treatment to avoid water spots and preserve luster.

• Wash: Dry clean highly recommended. Alternatively, hand wash cold with a silk-safe soap.
• Dry: Roll in a towel to extract excess moisture, then line dry in the shade.
• Iron: Iron inside out on the lowest silk setting without steam, or use a steamer.

Leather & Suede Footwear

Handcrafted shoes require routine nourishment to maintain their natural grain.

• Clean: Wipe leather with a soft, damp cloth. Use a specialized suede brush for suede shoes.
• Nourish: Apply a high-quality leather conditioner every few months to prevent cracking.
• Protect: Store with cedar shoe trees to retain shape and absorb moisture between wears. Keep away from direct heat and water.
